A message from Bnai Jeshurun Aviv:

While we continue to believe in the value of simply coming together to have fun, we must also acknowledge that our country is an unprecedented state of unrest as a result of centuries of violence and oppression towards people of color. In addition to enjoying one another’s company in friendly competition, we will take the opportunity this week to learn about the all-too-often forgotten history of Black Americans. In honor of Pride Month, we will also recognize the contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community, keeping in mind that the efforts for queer and Black liberation go hand-in-hand.
