Kol Yisrael Fellowship

Click here to apply for the Kol Yisrael Fellowship. Applications are due Monday, Oct. 18. Our cohort will first meet via Zoom Sunday Oct. 24

This conversation series will explore how Jews navigate and share space in the Jewish state. Using real Israeli case studies, together we'll examine Jewish pluralism and how values in tension shape Jewish life in contemporary Israeli society. Our learning community will include Columbia University Graduate students and Tel Aviv University students.

The ideal participant is curious, willing to consider new ideas, and open to hearing different perspectives. Disagreement is a feature of the Kol Yisrael conversations. We will engage with competing narratives and identify the values at play in each disagreement

Our cohort will meet weekly for six weeks. All participants will receive a $100 stipend for participation. Participants must attend all classes to receive the stipend.

Sessions will occur via Zoom on Sundays from 12 -1:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The dates will be : October 24, October 31, November 7, November 14, November 21, and December 5

To support engaged learning, the fellowship is limited to 10 Columbia University students and 10 Tel Aviv University students. Applications are due by 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18. Acceptance emails will go out on Thursday Oct. 21. Our cohort will first meet 12 p.m. Sunday Oct. 24.
