Set at the beginning of the 20th Center, Ragtime tells the story of three fictional families: Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. and his beloved Sarah, Jewish immigrant Tateh and his little girl, and a wealthy white family
Ragtime explores what America means to each of these families and how their dreams for the country-- and their children-- intersect.
