The Grad Network Passover Seder

Celebrate Passover with The Grad Network and join us for an evening of food, storytelling, questions, and community. The Grad Network Passover Seder will begin 7:15 p.m. Monday, April 22 at The Kraft Center, located at 606 West 115th Street.

Columbia students are welcome to register one guest for Passover Seder. Please note that all guests must enter the building with a Columbia student and complete The Kraft Center visitor form prior to attending the meal.

Cost should not be a barrier to participate. If you are unable to pay and would like to attend any of The Grad Network experiences, please email Melissa.

Kosher for Passover Pop-Up Food Pantry

The Grad Network Passover Pop-Up Food Pantry is open to all graduate students at Columbia University and Teachers College with the intention of making kosher for Passover food more accessible for those celebrating Passover. If a gift of Kosher for Passover groceries will make it easier for you to observe the holiday this year, you are welcome to come fill a bag! 

The Passover Pop-Up Food Pantry will be open from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. The food pantry will include packaged Kosher for Passover food, as well as fresh produce.

We are thrilled to be able to supplement Kosher for Passover meals for graduate students. This initiative is made possible by the Columbia/Barnard Hillel Annual Fund.

**We cannot guarantee every grocery item will meet your dietary needs, but aim to have a selection so that people receive the food they need.


Passover Meals Throughout the Week

No-Cost Kosher For Passover Lunch

Passover lunch will be available on Revson Plaza between 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.

All graduate students are welcome to enjoy Passover lunch at no-cost. Feel free to drop by or stay to hang out.

The Grad Network Shabbat Dinner (Passover Edition)

End the week with The Grad Network! Dinner will be served at the Kraft Center, located at 606 West 115th Street. Advanced registration required to reserve your seat.

RSVP to attend. Cost should not be a barrier to participate. If you are unable to pay and would like to attend any of the experiences offered, please email Melissa.

Passover Seder Options Throughout the City

We will continuously update this section with more information, as it becomes available. If you’re not finding what you’re looking for, email Melissa, Director of The Grad Network. Melissa will help you find Seder experiences and Passover celebrations that best fit how you want to observe.

If you would like to attend any Passover experience and need assistance covering the cost, you are welcome to apply for a Meaningful Jewish Experience Grant from The Grad Network.


OneTable is Nourishing Seders April 22-23 + Shabbat April 26

OneTable wants to help fund your Seder! Hosts can receive nourishment ($10/person, up to $100 per dinner) for one Seder (first or second night — your choice) and for Passover Shabbat.

The deadline to post your Seder is April 16.


Sharing Stories of Hope – Rodeph Sholom Passover Seder
6 p.m. | April 22 | Online

Join Rodeph Sholom in celebrating Passover with CRS’s Online Seder! They’ll provide the Haggadah on their screens as everyone sings, discusses, and tastes their way through the seder experience together. Intended for families and adults, this virtual format will encourage both table talk and chat box sharing, with accompanying songs and discussion materials for those wanting additional elements of meaning.

The seder will be led by Senior Rabbi Ben Spratt and Senior Cantor Shayna De Lowe


92NY Community Passover Seder
5 p.m. | April 23 | Buttenwieser Hall at The Arnhold Center

Join the 92NY for a joyful celebration filled with singing, interactive storytelling, delicious food & wine, and best of all … no cooking or cleaning up!

Whether you’re bringing the whole extended family or flying solo this year; a Passover expert or a Passover newbie, we’d love to have you at our table. Join for a Passover like you’ve never experienced before, surrounded by community!

Ansche Chesed Commuity 2nd Seder

The Ansche Chesed Community Seder will be led by our clergy Rabbi Jeremy Kalmanofsky, Rabbi Yael Hammerman, and Hazzan Natasha Hirschhorn.

Help us fill Hirsch Hall with ruach, friendship, stories and song!

"Let all who are hungry come and eat." -- The seder is open to Ansche Chesed members and non-members, adults and children.


Park Avenue Synagogue Passover Seder
6:30 p.m. | April 23 | 50 E 87th St

At this family-friendly and festive Passover Seder, welcome the holiday with the Park Avenue Synagogue congregational family. The seder is open to non-synagogue members, as well.

Space is limited so reserve your spot early.


Out of the Narrow Place: B’nai Jeshurun Community Seder
7:30 p.m. | April 23 | B’nai Jeshurun Sanctuary

Let us come together in song, ritual, and celebration as we reenact the Passover story and think about how we can move from narrowness to the great expanse in our own lifetimes. Connect with the community as we journey through this seder led by Rabbi Sammy Kanter, and enhanced by BJ’s team of musicians. All are welcome.

BJ’s Community Seder includes a full Pesah meal, elegantly provided by a Kosher caterer.


Fort Tryon Jewish Center Second Night Community Passover Seder
8 p.m. | April 23 | 729 W 181st St

Celebrate with community! FTJC and the Y of Washington Heights & Inwood are cosponsoring a joyful seder led by FTJC's Rabbi Guy Austrian, full of discussion, song, learning, and drama.

Children are warmly welcome to stay as late as they can and can play in a play corner with books and toys provided. 

Dinner by a certified kosher caterer, with meat and vegetarian options, with no kitniyot.


Kehillat Harlem Passover Seders

Manhattan Jewish Experience Social Seder

Join MJE and Aaron and Leora Blustein for an incredible fun-filled second night seder with 100+ YJPs in the heart of the upper west side. Open bar. Catered dinner. Buffet Desserts. Explanatory Seder.

MJE programming is only for Jewish young professionals and graduate students ages 21-39.
