Alternative Breaks offer an opportunity to deepen our understanding of Jewish history, support local community-led services, engage with new ideas, make friends, and have fun!

Throughout the week we will:

• Explore a little known-chapter of Jewish and Dominican history

• Meet with and learn from local community leaders

• Volunteer in public schools and youth development programs

• Support community health intiatives and learn about common regional health challenges

• Celebrate Shabbat at Sosúa Temple

• Enjoy time at the beach and in nearby towns
